What to Expect

  • We begin with a complimentary consultation to discuss your child’s learning history, strengths, concerns, and goals. This conversation helps determine whether my services are the right fit and allows families to ask questions about instruction, scheduling, and next steps.

  • If we decide to move forward, families receive an enrollment agreement outlining services, expectations, scheduling, and policies. Once the contract is signed, we schedule assessments and instructional sessions.

  • Each student completes targeted assessments in reading and/or math to identify specific skill strengths and areas of need. These assessments guide instruction and ensure intervention is precise, individualized, and research-based.

  • Assessment results are reviewed with families in a dedicated discussion. Together, we identify priority skill areas and clarify short- and long-term goals.

  • A personalized learning plan is created based on assessment data. The plan outlines instructional goals, targeted skill areas, teaching approaches, and progress-monitoring methods tailored to the student’s needs.

  • Instruction begins using structured, multisensory, diagnostic teaching strategies. Lessons are individualized, explicit, and responsive, with pacing adjusted based on student progress and engagement. Based on where you live, services are offered in a welcoming classroom environment in Middletown, NJ or virtually.

  • Student progress is continuously monitored through observation, informal assessment, and data collection embedded in sessions. Instruction is adjusted as needed to ensure continued growth and effectiveness.

  • Regular check-ins provide families with updates on progress, growth, and next steps. Open communication ensures families feel informed, supported, and involved throughout the intervention process.
