Throughout her career, Ashley has served as a learning specialist, curriculum coordinator, and instructional leader, designing and implementing diagnostic, data-driven reading and math interventions for students across grade levels. She has led student support teams, administered diagnostic and benchmark assessments, collaborated closely with families and educators, and presented on research-based best practices for whole-child development at professional conferences.
Ashley coined the term “Skill Sense” to reflect her core instructional philosophy: that academic skills are most effectively built when learning engages multiple senses simultaneously. Grounded in research, Skill Sense emphasizes the integration of visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic pathways to strengthen learning, deepen understanding, and support students who learn differently. This multisensory, diagnostic approach creates responsive, individualized, and meaningful instruction— helping students build not only academic skills, but also confidence and independence as learners.
Ashley is passionate about creating supportive learning environments where students feel understood, capable, and empowered to grow.
